Some of you are wanting to know how to make these super cool desk pads so here you go..
Cut a 4 x 6 piece of dsp and seperate a post it note pad in half (yields 2 ). I coordinated the pads with the dsp. Slide the dsp into the frame. The acrylic/plastic frame is a horizon layout. Be sure to purchase them that way. I used ribbon at the top on some and/or cardstock with a decorate edge on others. I added glass glitter to some with sticky strip for a vintage look. The mini gel pens were purchased at Staples and are approx 3-1/2" long and come packaged with 12 for $4.99. I made a ribbon band (2" long) using sticky strip first to made the circle then sticky strip again to adhere to the frame. The post-it pads are held on with dotto applied in four rows to secure. I then added medallions and other elements to embellish the left side of the pad. I used flowers on some, stars (masculine version), punched shapes and Bigshot scallop circles. You can really do anything here. Texture is the key so use lots of it. I made approx 34 of them and in 10 or 12 different designs. They were lots of fun to make. Not hard at all. Just a process. Have fun being creative!!
